Elevating LSU Athletics with a Vision for Engaging Donors Online

The LSU Tiger Athletic Foundation (LSUTAF) has supported Louisiana State University athletics for over 30 years, enhancing the lives of student-athletes through scholarships and program funding. Focused on creating opportunities both on and off the field, LSUTAF sought to expand its impact and build stronger connections with its donor community.
To help achieve this, AMP Agency pitched a dynamic website redesign aimed at shifting LSUTAF’s image from a transactional fundraiser to a philanthropic leader. The proposed solution focused on showcasing their mission, engaging donors, and establishing a foundation for creating meaningful programs.

Embracing the “Game Day” Experience
The proposed website design emphasized LSU’s game day excitement as a central element, celebrating the passion of its loyal fan base. Member benefits tied to the game day experience were prominently featured to create a stronger connection with supporters. This approach balanced the vibrant energy of athletics with educational content, encouraging meaningful engagement from potential donors.

Making Donating As Easy As Possible
The proposed website prioritized making donations seamless by incorporating a persistent navigation bar with a prominently placed “Donate” button. Additional features, like a dynamic banner near the footer and clear donation options for programs and funds, ensured users could easily contribute from multiple touchpoints. This approach simplified the donation process while providing flexibility for LSUTAF to update calls-to-action as needed.






Share the Impact Story & Make It Personal
The proposed website adopted a storytelling approach to highlight the tangible impact of donations, showing how contributions directly benefit student-athletes and programs. Using progress bars, testimonials, and engaging multimedia content, potential donors could clearly see the value of their support. To make the experience personal, features like donor stories and program-specific updates fostered deeper connections and encouraged ongoing engagement.

Celebrate All Donors at Every Level
The proposed website emphasized celebrating all donors, regardless of their contribution level, to foster a sense of community and appreciation. A ticker showcased donor names prominently on the homepage, while personalized donor profiles highlighted individual stories and their supported programs. This approach not only recognized contributions but also inspired others to join and support LSUTAF’s mission.



Outcome
The proposed LSUTAF website successfully aligned with their mission to transform their image into a philanthropic leader. The design emphasized storytelling, donor recognition, and ease of use, creating a dynamic digital experience that resonated with LSU’s passionate community while driving deeper donor engagement. The pitch was well-received, and we were awarded the project to bring this vision to life.
